I love Warren Zevon. I saw him perform twice, and after the second time, at the Blue Note in Columbia, Missouri in the early 1990s, we went out back and met him and got his autograph. He was quite lovely and a genuinely nice person I thought.

As for Crockett Tubbs, from the very start of his appearance in the story, I didn’t believe he was a real cop. So that’s where I’m at with that.
