I went to the McDonalds drive-thru on New Years Day morning once. There was a paper taped to the menu sign with the photo of the local high school gym teacher and the words, "This man rapes kids." Or something like that. Like that sign of Dwight from an episode of 'The Office', but this may have been before that episode every happened. Coincidence? Either way, the gym teacher had been arrested for raping girls at the school the week prior. I don't think the staff of the McDonalds were aware of their amended menu sign, though.
Wow. What a rough start to the year. Any idea why someone put that sign up at the McDonald’s? Like was the guy connected to the McDonald’s somehow, or was it just a high traffic area?
It was near the high school, for sure. I suspect it was some kids taping those signs up all over the place on New Years Eve night as a sort of prank. A fleeting moment of youthful shenanigans for them, a cherished holiday memory for me.
This is our local Burger King, so I will be back. As for the wind, the Santa Ana winds were blowing, and they can be fierce, but it’s not like anything else got knocked over.
